– Medical & educational fees sponsorship is for needy applicants.

– T-shirts and clothes for slum-dwelling children in Mumbai, and children women, and men in the village were done.

– 9th Annual Happiness Event for 60 kids and their volunteers. T-shirts books and hygiene kits were given to all besides colouring books and educational fun games as prizes.

– COVID support is ongoing in parts to the slum dwellers and front liners.

– Since some village cases increased we plan to send some oximeters and other medical equipment/medicines needed to the 3 village Covid hospitals and some oxygen concentrators for remote Indian Army Camps.

– Support for a local kitchen being created in association with another grassroots NGO, for slum-dwelling women to become self-sufficient. One main kitchen to serve the 3 biggest suburban areas in Mumbai is set up for women to make and sell food at small stalls that have been properly licensed. We have already supported it with a small amount. But the project needs one time and some recurring costs till the business for them becomes self-sufficient. We intend to support it further.

– For one of our main sectors of Vocational Skill Bank we want to buy some and get sponsored for some equipment and take a place on rent that can be sponsored where we can run Skill-based courses for below-poverty-line youth, men, and women. Eg, Sewing, Stitching Cooking, Carpentry, Electrician and Banking clerical courses, etc.

This and the kitchen is a big continuous project envisioned based on the belief that it’s better to teach them to fish rather than constantly providing the fish.

– A Medical fund via a consortium and tie-ups with hospitals is envisioned to help support all in need. Medicals and hospitalizations are way expensive and many succumb to the fear of debts or being unable to be treated due to financial lack. If the poor or any needy does not have health they won’t be able to do anything.
